Beth Daigle has been actively studying and pursuing creative endeavors ever since she can remember. After attending SCAD to study 3D Graphics, a craft she applies daily in her professional life, she has always strived to achieve more in her creative life. Beth fosters her art like any relationship, taking time and attention every day to check in with her passion and ensure it is well-loved. She has improved upon her technique and creative confidence year after year in a lifelong pursuit, and she loves honing her craft in whatever way she can. She creates oil paintings out of her home studio, taking whatever time she can find to sit down and create something. She also enjoys flexing her creative muscle by painting outside of the studio, including painting en plein air and painting from live models.

artist’s statement

Painting is meditation and painting offers the unique ability to record a moment, a place, or a feeling in a way that is entirely personal and subjective. This is what I celebrate and strive towards- achieving balance between visual recognition of the subject and faithful representation of the emotional resonance between the subject and myself. Through the strategic usage of light, color, composition and edge quality, paintings have the unique ability to record and convey something more than just a depiction of a thing- they can get to the heart of it. That’s what I’m after when I paint.
